CLXR-005

CLXR-005 is a **preclinical small interfering RNA gene therapy program** from **Celixir** designed to silence **signal transducer and activator of transcription 6** signaling in cancer. The program comprises **four siRNA molecules** directed against **STAT6**, an intracellular transcription factor reported to be overexpressed in multiple hard-to-treat and drug-resistant solid tumors including colon, breast, lung, pancreatic, and prostate cancers. By using RNA interference to reduce STAT6 expression, CLXR-005 is intended to inhibit a cancer-promoting pathway that is difficult to access with conventional antibodies and many small molecules; preclinical data described activity in colon and breast cancer cell lines.
