Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CM-24 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets and blocks Carcinoembryonic Antigen Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 (CEACAM1), an immune checkpoint protein implicated in tumor immune evasion, cancer progression, and metastasis. By binding to CEACAM1 on cancer cells and certain immune cells, CM-24 disrupts CEACAM1-mediated immunosuppression, thereby enhancing the body's antitumor immune response. The drug is being developed primarily for use in combination with other therapies such as nivolumab (a PD‑1 inhibitor) and chemotherapy for advanced solid tumors, including metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Originally developed by Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp., development was later taken over by Famewave Ltd., which was subsequently acquired by Purple Biotech. Clinical trials have reached Phase 2 for several cancers including pancreatic cancer, non-small-cell lung cancer, melanoma, colorectal cancer, ovarian cancer, papillary adenocarcinoma/carcinoma, and thyroid cancer[5][6][7][8].
