Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CM-YJH01 is an investigational inhaled biologic therapy targeting idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. It is a macromolecule based on glutaredoxin 1, designed to prevent epithelial cell death and directly address progressive lung fibrosis. The drug acts as a modulator of the GLRX (glutaredoxin) pathway, aiming to reduce or reverse fibrotic tissue build-up in the lungs. CM-YJH01 is administered using Pulmatrix’s iSPERSE dry powder inhalation technology, which enables efficient pulmonary delivery of the therapeutic protein. Preclinical studies have shown that administration of CM-YJH01 reduces lung fibrosis and improves respiratory parameters in animal models. The drug is being developed through collaboration between Celdara Medical and Pulmatrix, and is supported by funding from the US NIH for development as an inhaled treatment for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis[3][4][5][7][9][13][15].
