CM3.1-AC100 is a synthetic peptide drug that acts as an agonist of the glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R). It is a GLP-1 analog developed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and related diabetic complications. The drug was initially developed by BTG International and later advanced in clinical trials by CellMed AG/AstraZeneca. Its mechanism involves mimicking endogenous GLP-1 to stimulate insulin secretion in response to elevated blood glucose levels, thereby improving glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes[2][3]. Phase 1 clinical studies have evaluated its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics after single and multiple subcutaneous doses in both healthy volunteers and patients with type 2 diabetes[1][3].
