Overview

CM551 is a long-acting bispecific antibody developed by Keymed Biosciences for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). It is designed to simultaneously target and neutralize two key pro-inflammatory cytokines: TNF-like ligand 1A (TL1A) and the p19 subunit of interleukin-23 (IL-23 p19). By dual-targeting these pathways, CM551 aims to provide enhanced therapeutic efficacy for patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis compared to existing monotherapies. As of mid-2026, Keymed Biosciences has submitted an Investigational New Drug (IND) application for CM551, and the program is in the preclinical or early clinical stage of development.
