Overview

cmAb17-1A is a chimeric monoclonal antibody that targets the tumor-associated antigen GA733-2, which is also known as EpCAM (epithelial cell adhesion molecule). It consists of mouse variable regions and human IgG1 constant regions. The drug was developed for use in cancer immunotherapy, specifically in patients with advanced colorectal carcinoma. Its mechanism involves binding to the GA733-2 antigen on tumor cells, potentially inducing an immune response against these cells. Clinical studies have shown that treatment with cmAb17-1A can induce anti-tumor immune responses, including the development of anti-idiotypic and anti–anti-idiotypic antibodies[2].
