Overview

CMD011 is a bispecific antibody (BsAb) T-cell engager developed by Zhejiang Shimai Pharmaceutical for the treatment of Glypican-3 (GPC3)-positive solid tumors, specifically hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The molecule is engineered to simultaneously bind to GPC3, a cell-surface oncofetal antigen highly expressed in HCC, and the CD3 epsilon subunit of the T-cell receptor complex. By bridging T cells and tumor cells, CMD011 triggers T-cell activation and the release of cytotoxic granules such as perforin and granzymes, resulting in the targeted destruction of GPC3-expressing cancer cells. It is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to determine safety, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary anti-tumor activity in patients with advanced malignancies.
