Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CMDE005 is a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) antibody designed to target both CD3 on T cells and EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) on tumor cells. By binding simultaneously to CD3 and EGFR, it redirects cytotoxic T lymphocytes to attack and kill EGFR-positive tumor cells. The drug is being developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors that express EGFR. Its mechanism involves immune-mediated targeting of cancer cells via dual engagement of the immune system and tumor antigen. The drug is administered intravenously[1][2][5].
