Overview

CMG12 is a trispecific monoclonal antibody being developed by Chengdu Chimagen Biosciences for the treatment of colorectal cancer. It is designed to simultaneously target the immune checkpoints Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 (PD-1) and Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte-Associated Protein 4 (CTLA4), along with a third, undisclosed target. The drug aims to overcome the limitations of current PD-1 and CTLA4 inhibitors in colorectal cancer, which typically show efficacy only in the deficient mismatch repair (dMMR) subgroup. By utilizing a trispecific format with novel mechanisms, CMG12 is intended to activate the immune system more effectively against aggressive solid tumors. It is currently in preclinical development.
