Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CMG901 + ivonescimab is an investigational combination regimen being evaluated for the treatment of gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, including gastric and gastroesophageal junction cancers. The combination pairs sonesitatug vedotin (CMG901/AZD0901), a first-in-class antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2) conjugated to a cytotoxic monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE) payload, with ivonescimab, a first-in-class bispecific antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Developed under a clinical collaboration between AstraZeneca and Summit Therapeutics, this combination aims to synergize targeted tumor cell killing, immune checkpoint blockade, and anti-angiogenesis to improve therapeutic outcomes in patients with advanced GI malignancies.
