CMN-009 is a preclinical, allogeneic CAR–cytokine induced killer (CAR-CIK) cell therapy being developed by CoImmune to target delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3) in small cell lung cancer and other DLL3-expressing malignancies.[3][5][7][9] The product incorporates a DLL3-directed chimeric antigen receptor and is “armored” with interleukin-18 (IL-18) to enhance antitumor activity by augmenting local immune stimulation and T/NK-cell function within the tumor microenvironment.[3][7][9] As an off‑the‑shelf CAR-CIK platform derived under an exclusive license from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, CMN-009 is designed to exploit DLL3’s selective expression on small cell lung cancer cells to deliver targeted cytotoxicity while potentially reducing on‑target off‑tumor effects compared with less selective antigens.[3][5][7][9]
