Overview

CMPD1 is a selective and non-ATP-competitive small molecule that acts as an inhibitor of p38 MAPK-mediated MK2 phosphorylation. Subsequent research has also identified it as a tubulin polymerization inhibitor. It has demonstrated cytotoxic activity in various cancer cell lines, including glioblastoma and breast cancer, by inducing mitotic arrest and apoptosis. CMPD1 is primarily used as a research chemical to study the p38-MK2 pathway and microtubule dynamics.
