CMS-D005

CMS-D005 is a self-developed, innovative small molecule drug that acts as a dual agonist of the glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R) and the glucagon receptor (GCGR). It is being developed primarily for the treatment of obesity and other metabolic diseases. The mechanism of action involves simultaneous activation of both GLP-1R and GCGR, which are known to play key roles in regulating glucose metabolism, appetite suppression, energy expenditure, and weight loss. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials to evaluate its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), effects on body weight, and immunogenicity in healthy and overweight/obese adult participants.
