Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CMTS1215 is an investigational oncolytic bacteria therapy consisting of a specific strain of *Proteus mirabilis*. [18] It is being developed by The Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University for the treatment of solid tumors. [17] In preclinical studies, the bacteria have demonstrated excellent tumor tropism. [18] The proposed mechanism of action involves the bacteria specifically reproducing within the tumor, leading to direct tumor cell death and the activation of the host's anti-tumor immune system. [18] CMTS1215 is being evaluated in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial for patients with advanced solid tumors who have failed conventional therapies. [17]
