CMV-TCR-T cells is an investigational T cell receptor (TCR) engineered T cell therapy developed by the Chinese PLA General Hospital. It is designed for the treatment of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection and reactivation in patients following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), particularly in the context of haploidentical peripheral blood stem cell transplantation. The therapy involves the adoptive transfer of donor-derived T cells that have been genetically modified to express TCRs specific for CMV antigens. These engineered cells are intended to recognize and eliminate CMV-infected cells, providing a pre-emptive or first-line treatment option to restore anti-viral immunity and prevent complications associated with CMV reactivation in immunocompromised post-transplant patients.
