Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CMV-Vac is a preclinical T cell activating vaccine being developed by ViferaXS for the prevention or treatment of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection. The vaccine is engineered using T cell activator technology to target specific CMV antigens, with the goal of eliciting a robust and specific T cell immune response. By stimulating cellular immunity, CMV-Vac aims to provide protection against CMV, which is a significant cause of morbidity in immunocompromised individuals, such as transplant recipients, and can lead to severe congenital complications when transmitted during pregnancy.
