CMVTT is an experimental **virus-like particle vaccine platform** built from the **cucumber mosaic virus** coat protein and engineered to contain a **tetanus toxoid-derived universal T-helper epitope**. It is designed as a carrier particle for therapeutic vaccination against non-infectious diseases by chemically coupling disease-relevant antigens to the VLP surface. The platform aims to break B-cell tolerance and enhance antibody responses, including in older or otherwise poor vaccine responders, by combining highly repetitive VLP display, packaged immunostimulatory RNA, and recall T-cell help to tetanus. In the cited preclinical work, CMVTT was used to generate prototype vaccines against **IL-17A** for psoriasis, **Fel d 1** for cat allergy, and **Aβ1-6** for Alzheimer's disease. The work is associated with University of Dundee, University of Oxford, University of Bern, and companies engaged in commercial vaccine development using the platform, including Saiba, HealVax, and Hypopet.
