Overview

CN201 is a novel investigational bispecific antibody that targets both CD3 and CD19, functioning as a T-cell engager to direct T cells to eliminate B cells. It is an IgG4-based, humanized protein with a silenced Fc fragment designed to reduce cytokine release syndrome while maintaining potent T-cell mediated cytotoxicity. The drug is being developed for the treatment of B-cell associated diseases, including relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) and B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and has shown promising early clinical activity in these indications. Merck acquired global rights to CN201 from Curon Biopharmaceutical in 2024 and plans further development for both malignant and autoimmune B-cell disorders[1][2][4][8].
