Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CN54gp140 + GLA-AF is a combination vaccine formulation consisting of a recombinant HIV envelope protein (CN54gp140) and a synthetic adjuvant (GLA-AF). CN54gp140 is a soluble, trimeric form of the HIV envelope from the C/B' strain 97/CN/54, expressed in CHO cells. GLA-AF (Glucopyranosyl Lipid Adjuvant-Aqueous Formulation) is a synthetic hexaacylated lipid A derivative that acts as a TLR-4 agonist. This combination has been used in HIV vaccine clinical trials, typically administered intramuscularly at a dosage of 100 μg CN54gp140 with 5 μg GLA-AF.
