Overview

CNDO‑09 is an investigational cell therapy consisting of allogeneic (donor-derived) natural killer (NK) cells that have been ex vivo primed with a lysate from the CTV‑1 leukemia cell line. This activation process enhances the cytotoxicity of NK cells against tumor targets, including those typically resistant to NK-mediated lysis. The product is manufactured by isolating HLA-haploidentical donor NK cells, activating them with CTV‑1 lysate under GMP conditions, and cryopreserving them for infusion. The primary mechanism involves stimulation of innate immune responses via enhanced NK cell activity, independent of cytokine receptor signaling. Developed for use in hematologic malignancies such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML), multiple myeloma, and solid tumors, clinical trials demonstrated safety but development was discontinued after early-phase studies[1][3][4][5][6].
