Overview

CNK-UT001 is an allogeneic T-cell therapy being developed by ST Phi Therapeutics for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The therapy is based on the company's proprietary CNK-UT platform, which involves engineering allogeneic T cells with a chimeric natural killer (NK) receptor. This chimeric receptor is designed to recognize NK cell receptor ligands that are frequently overexpressed on the surface of tumor cells. By binding to these ligands, the engineered T cells are activated to mediate the targeted elimination of the cancer cells. CNK-UT001 is currently in preclinical development and represents a novel approach to cell therapy by combining the potent effector functions of T cells with the broad tumor-recognition capabilities of NK cell receptors.
