Overview

CNK-UT005 is an allogeneic T-cell therapy currently in preclinical development by ST Phi Therapeutics for the treatment of small cell lung cancer (SCLC). The therapy utilizes the company's proprietary CNK-UT platform, which involves engineering donor-derived (allogeneic) T cells with a chimeric natural killer (NK) receptor. This chimeric receptor is designed to recognize and bind to NK cell receptor ligands that are typically overexpressed on the surface of tumor cells. Upon binding, the engineered T cells are activated to mediate the direct elimination of the target tumor cells. As an allogeneic product, CNK-UT005 is intended to function as an "off-the-shelf" therapeutic, potentially offering logistical and cost advantages over patient-specific autologous cell therapies.
