Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CNM-PtAu7 is a gold-platinum combination nanocrystal suspension being developed by Clene Nanomedicine (now Clene Inc.) as a potential treatment for oncology indications. The compound consists of catalytically-active nanocrystals combining gold and platinum elements. Initial in vitro research has demonstrated broad-spectrum efficacy across a variety of tumor cell lines[5][8][12]. The therapeutic is based on nanocatalysis technology similar to the company's lead compound CNM-Au8, which uses catalytic mechanisms to affect cellular energetics and reduce oxidative stress. CNM-PtAu7 represents an expansion of Clene's nanocrystal platform into oncology applications[11][15].
