CNP-PTX (also known as CNPPTX-1002) is a preclinical-stage drug delivery system developed by SiNON Nano Sciences. It utilizes proprietary Carbon NanoDots (CNDs) as a delivery vehicle to encapsulate and transport the chemotherapy agent paclitaxel. The platform is specifically engineered to cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB), addressing a significant challenge in treating glioblastoma and other brain tumors. By targeting the delivery of paclitaxel directly to tumor cells, the system aims to enhance therapeutic efficacy while reducing systemic toxicity associated with conventional chemotherapy. The carbon nanoparticle delivery system is designed to release the payload specifically at tumor sites rather than healthy tissues.
