Overview

CNPY2 siRNA is an experimental research reagent designed to silence the expression of the Canopy FGF Signaling Regulator 2 (CNPY2) gene through RNA interference (RNAi). CNPY2 is a protein involved in the unfolded protein response (UPR) and fibroblast growth factor (FGF) signaling, and its overexpression has been linked to tumor progression, angiogenesis, and metabolic reprogramming in various diseases. In preclinical oncology models, knockdown of CNPY2 using siRNA has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in cancers such as hepatocellular carcinoma, renal cell carcinoma, and non-small-cell lung cancer. Additionally, recent research suggests a role for CNPY2 in regulating glycolysis and pulmonary vascular remodeling in pulmonary hypertension associated with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (PH-HFpEF). It is currently used exclusively as a laboratory tool and has not entered formal clinical development.
