Overview

**CNQ nanoparticles** are a preclinical multifunctional nanomedicine developed for hepatocellular carcinoma. The formulation incorporates calcium carbonate, the polycyclic conjugated photothermal small molecule 2Br-NDIA, and quercetin. Under mild photothermal treatment, CNQ activates transient receptor potential vanilloid 1, causing mitochondrial calcium overload, disruption of intracellular calcium homeostasis, and antitumor effects.
