Overview

CNT201 is a genetically recombinant collagenase therapeutic developed by Connext Co., Ltd. for the treatment of Dupuytren’s contracture and other fibrotic conditions. It is designed as an alternative to existing collagenase treatments such as Xiaflex, with the aim of providing a safer and more effective non-surgical option. Unlike traditional collagenases produced by fermentation of Clostridium histolyticum, which carry risks of contamination with toxins or animal-derived substances, CNT201 is produced using genetic engineering technology to ensure superior quality and consistent efficacy[3][1][4]. The drug works by enzymatically degrading excess collagen in affected tissues, thereby reducing fibrosis and improving finger mobility in patients with Dupuytren’s contracture[3][1]. Connext is also advancing development for additional indications including Peyronie’s disease and cellulite[3][4].
