Overview

CNTY-102 is an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived, chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) gamma delta iT cell therapy being developed by Century Therapeutics for the treatment of relapsed/refractory B-cell lymphoma and other B-cell malignancies. It is designed as a multi-specific CAR-T therapy to simultaneously target the B-cell antigens CD19 and CD22 (some sources indicate CD79b as the second target, but the majority specify CD22), with the aim of increasing the depth and durability of response by overcoming resistance mechanisms such as CD19 antigen loss. Its primary mechanism of action is inhibiting or depleting B-cells by targeting these surface antigens, leading to cytotoxic killing of malignant B-cells. CNTY-102 utilizes iPSC technology to generate allogeneic, off-the-shelf gamma delta T cell products. The route of administration is intravenous. Development was led by Century Therapeutics, but preclinical development in B-cell lymphoma has been discontinued as of 2023[3][7][9][12].
