Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CO-End80B is a recombinant bacteriophage-derived endolysin being developed by COBIK, in collaboration with its spin-off Sferogen, as an alternative antimicrobial therapy. It is designed to enzymatically degrade the bacterial cell wall and lyse *Staphylococcus* species, primarily targeting *Staphylococcus epidermidis* to treat bloodstream and medical device-related infections. The endolysin is also being formulated as a protein nanoparticle using Sferogen's proprietary platform to enhance its therapeutic potential.
