Overview

CO-RVLYSIS is a genetically engineered oncolytic virus developed by CZ BioMed Corp. for the treatment of colon cancer. Derived from a modified Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), it is part of the company's broader RVLYSIS platform. The virus is designed to selectively replicate within and destroy malignant cells while sparing healthy tissue. Its mechanism of action involves direct lytic rupture of cancer cells through viral replication, the induction of apoptosis (programmed cell death), and the stimulation of a systemic anti-tumor immune response. CO-RVLYSIS is intended for systemic administration via intravenous injection and is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
