coACCM (Co-cultured Amniotic Stem Cell Conditioned Media) is an early-stage, cell-free conditioned media platform being developed by Merakris Therapeutics for wound care and regenerative medicine applications. The technology involves the co-culture of amniotic epithelial cells with amniotic fluid cells to mimic the amniotic environment in utero, generating a complex secreted proteome that includes paracrine factors, exosomes, and cytokines. This synthetic amniotic fluid-like substance is designed to support tissue regeneration by activating epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and stimulating myofibroblast activation, which are critical cellular processes in early-phase wound healing. Merakris Therapeutics has filed patents for this unique co-stem cell culture technology, which serves as a foundation for its broader pipeline of commercially scalable stem cell-derived biotherapeutic technologies. It is currently in the early research phase and is distinct from the company's more advanced clinical candidates like MTX-001.
