Coagulation factor X activator is a biological therapeutic candidate being developed by Beijing Novacon Pharmaceutical Technology for the treatment of surgical bleeding and hemorrhagic diseases. It functions as a procoagulant by specifically activating coagulation factor X (FX) into its active enzymatic form, factor Xa (FXa). This activation bypasses the upstream components of the intrinsic and extrinsic coagulation pathways, directly initiating the common pathway to generate thrombin and facilitate the formation of a stable fibrin clot. The drug is formulated for intravenous injection and has been evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials (e.g., CTR20150546) to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacodynamic effects on coagulation parameters in healthy subjects.
