Overview

Coblopasvir is a small molecule antiviral drug developed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. It acts as an NS5A inhibitor, specifically targeting the nonstructural protein 5A of HCV to inhibit viral replication and assembly. Coblopasvir is used in combination with sofosbuvir for the treatment of chronic HCV genotypes 1, 2, 3, and 6 in adults who are treatment-naïve or have previously received interferon-based therapy, including those with compensated cirrhosis[7][3][4]. The drug was developed by Beijing Kawin Technology Share-Holding and has been approved in China through a priority review process[7][3].
