Cobotide is a polypeptide drug derived from the venom of the Chinese cobra (*Naja naja atra*), specifically a modified neurotoxin. It functions as an antagonist of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs), including the alpha-7 subtype (α7-nAChR), which plays a critical role in pain transmission and neuroinflammation.
