Overview

CB-6 (Cobramine) is a peptide-based protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor developed by Celtic Biotech for the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Derived from snake venom research, CB-6 targets PKC isoforms that are implicated in the progression of renal damage, including fibrosis and inflammatory responses. By inhibiting PKC signaling, the drug aims to slow the decline of kidney function in patients with CKD. It is currently in the early stages of clinical development, identified as Phase Ib ready.
