Overview
Cobratide is a neurotoxin peptide derived from the venom of the Chinese cobra. It is used to treat chronic pains such as late-stage cancer pain, chronic joint pain, sciatica, and trigeminal neuralgia. Cobratide acts as a postsynaptic neurotoxin, binding to acetylcholine receptors at neuromuscular junctions, thereby blocking nerve signal transmission and providing analgesic effects without habituation or tolerance[1][2].
