Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Coca-Glycerine is an allergenic extract formulation containing 50% v/v glycerine as a preservative and stabilizer. Manufactured by Antigen Laboratories, Inc., it is derived from various source materials and is used for both the diagnosis and treatment of allergic conditions. For diagnostic purposes, it is administered via intradermal or prick-puncture skin testing to identify immediate hypersensitivity reactions in patients. For therapeutic use (immunotherapy), it is administered subcutaneously to desensitize patients who experience allergic symptoms upon natural exposure to specific allergens. Additionally, the product is indicated for the symptomatic relief of sore throats.
