Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CodaVax-RSV is a live-attenuated, intranasal vaccine candidate developed to prevent respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections in infants, young children, and adults. The vaccine is engineered using hundreds of strategic genomic modifications that slow viral replication, resulting in a genetically stable and attenuated RSV virus that expresses all RSV proteins as antigens. This design aims to elicit both mucosal and cellular immune responses, including neutralizing antibodies and CD8-positive T lymphocyte activation. CodaVax-RSV has demonstrated safety and immunogenicity in Phase 1 studies involving older adults and is currently being evaluated in pediatric populations. The primary indication for CodaVax-RSV is the prevention of RSV infection[1][2][4][5].
