Overview

Coenzyme q10 + vitamin e is a combination dietary supplement containing two antioxidant compounds, coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) and vitamin E (tocopherol). Both are lipid-soluble antioxidants that help protect cells from oxidative damage. Coenzyme Q10 is involved in mitochondrial energy production and cellular respiration, while vitamin E protects cell membranes from lipid peroxidation. The combination has been studied for enhanced antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects compared to either agent alone, with evidence suggesting synergistic benefits in reducing inflammation markers such as C-reactive protein and providing greater protection against oxidative stress[1][5][6]. It has also shown potential anxiolytic and antidepressant effects under stress conditions in animal models by modulating inflammatory pathways[6]. This combination is primarily marketed as a dietary supplement for general health, cardiovascular support, neuroprotection, and adjunctive therapy in various conditions associated with increased oxidative stress.
