Drug intelligence / Profile preview
COFBRO is a combination respiratory medication developed and marketed by Wellmed Pharma. It contains four active ingredients: terbutaline sulphate, a beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist that acts as a bronchodilator; ambroxol hydrochloride, a mucolytic agent that thins mucus; guaiphenesin, an expectorant that increases the volume of airway secretions to facilitate their removal; and menthol, which provides a soothing effect. This formulation is designed as a small molecule combination therapy for treating respiratory conditions involving bronchospasm and mucus congestion, such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other respiratory tract disorders. It is typically administered as an oral syrup.
