Overview

COG-101 is a preclinical-stage CRISPR-based gene therapy being developed by Cognigenics for the treatment of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and the enhancement of cognitive function. The therapeutic utilizes a CRISPR-based molecular architecture delivered via intranasal lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), a route designed to facilitate direct access to the central nervous system while bypassing the blood-brain barrier. By employing CRISPR technology, COG-101 aims to achieve precise and potentially long-lasting modulation of genetic targets involved in neurocircuitry regulation and psychiatric health. The program is currently in the preclinical phase of development.
