Overview

Cognition Care DW2009 is a health functional food ingredient developed by Dong Wha Pharm, consisting of a complex of the probiotic strain *Lactiplantibacillus plantarum* C29 (formerly *Lactobacillus plantarum* C29) and fermented soybean powder. It is specifically designed to improve cognitive function in individuals experiencing mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or age-related cognitive decline. The product's mechanism of action involves the modulation of the gut-brain axis, which leads to an increase in the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a critical protein for neuronal survival, memory, and learning. In addition to its neuroprotective effects, DW2009 supports intestinal health by balancing the gut microbiota, suppressing harmful bacteria, and promoting regular bowel movements.
