Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ColActive Transfer is a medical device wound dressing developed by Covalon Technologies. It is a porous wound contact layer composed of collagen and sodium alginate, provided as a sterile sheet. The dressing is indicated for the management of full- and partial-thickness wounds, including pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers, second-degree burns, donor and graft sites, abrasions, dehisced surgical wounds, and traumatic wounds healing by secondary intention. As a medical device, it functions as a low-adherent contact layer to minimize wound trauma during dressing changes and provides a moist environment to support the healing process.
