**Colgate Total PROTECTION ACTIVE** is a branded fluoridated dentifrice used as the active-comparator intervention in the Dubai Health-sponsored Phase 2 MIH-CARE study in children aged 6–12 years with mild to moderate molar incisor hypomineralization. The registered study identifies it as a fluoridated toothpaste but does not provide a complete product composition, fluoride salt, concentration, or SKU. Products in the Colgate Total Active Prevention family are marketed by Colgate-Palmolive as stannous-fluoride toothpastes; fluoride promotes enamel remineralization and reduces acid-mediated demineralization, while stannous fluoride may also reduce plaque-associated bacterial activity. This is a topical oral-care drug product rather than a systemic therapeutic.
