Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Colipex (also known as Elastargene 3C) is a topical dermocosmetic body cream developed by Harmonium Pharma specifically to prevent and treat lipodystrophy (lipoatrophy and lipohypertrophy) and skin imperfections (such as white scars) at insulin injection or infusion set sites in patients with diabetes. The cream is formulated with a proprietary combination of active ingredients called 3C-Elastargene, which includes hydrolyzed elastin, arnica extract, hydrolyzed collagen, caffeine, and L-carnitine. These components work synergistically to improve skin elasticity, support dermal regeneration, stimulate microcirculation, and promote lipolysis. Clinical studies in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes using insulin pump therapy have shown that regular application of Colipex not only improves skin scars but also significantly improves glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels, likely by enhancing subcutaneous insulin absorption.
