Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Colloidal gold-bound tumor necrosis factor is a nanoparticle delivery system consisting of recombinant human tumor necrosis factor (TNF) bound to pegylated colloidal gold nanoparticles. This drug formulation is designed to target TNF directly to tumor sites while reducing systemic toxicity. The drug is constructed by simultaneously binding recombinant human TNF and thiolyated polyethylene glycol to the surface of 27 nm colloidal gold particles, making the nanoparticles "invisible" to immune detection and enabling targeted delivery to tumor sites.
