Combiflex

Combiflex is a brand name used for two distinct pharmaceutical products. One version is a combination analgesic containing paracetamol (acetaminophen), salicylamide, and caffeine, which is used for the symptomatic relief of mild to moderate pain and fever. The second, and more clinically prominent in the context of parenteral therapy, is a line of multi-chamber bags (e.g., Combiflex Lipid Central and Combiflex Lipid Peri) manufactured by Otsuka Pharmaceutical. These products provide total parenteral nutrition (TPN) and consist of a balanced mixture of amino acids, electrolytes, glucose, and a lipid emulsion (typically soybean oil). They are designed for intravenous administration to patients who cannot receive adequate nutrition through oral or enteral routes, such as those with severe gastrointestinal disorders, malabsorption, or those recovering from major surgery.
