Comirnaty KP.2 is an updated mRNA vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19, specifically formulated to target the Omicron variant lineage KP.2 of SARS-CoV-2[4][8]. It is indicated for active immunization against COVID-19 in individuals from 5 years of age and older, with specific dosing for children (10 micrograms/dose for ages 5–11) and adults/adolescents (30 micrograms/dose for ages 12+)[1][6]. The vaccine contains messenger RNA encoding the spike protein of the Omicron variant KP.2, delivered via lipid nanoparticles[4][6].
