Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is an experimental multi-component nanomedicine formulation designed for cancer therapy. It combines four distinct components: - **CoMnMOF** (Cobalt-Manganese Metal–Organic Framework): A type of nanoparticle used as a drug delivery platform, often engineered to enhance tumor targeting and controlled release. - **Apatinib**: A small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor that selectively inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2), thereby blocking angiogenesis in tumors. - **L-menthol**: An organic compound known for its cooling sensation, which acts primarily by activating the TRPM8 receptor; it may also have analgesic and permeability-enhancing properties[6][9]. - **RBC-HA** (Red Blood Cell membrane-camouflaged Hyaluronic Acid): This refers to a biomimetic coating strategy where nanoparticles are cloaked with red blood cell membranes and hyaluronic acid to improve biocompatibility, prolong circulation time, evade immune detection, and target CD44-overexpressing tumor cells. The combination aims to synergistically deliver apatinib directly to tumors using the CoMnMOF carrier system while leveraging l-menthol’s permeability enhancement and RBC/HA coating for improved pharmacokinetics and tumor targeting. The primary indication is likely solid tumors or cancers where antiangiogenic therapy is beneficial.
