Compeed Cold Sore Patch

Compeed Cold Sore Patch is a non-medicated, invisible hydrocolloid patch designed for the treatment of herpes labialis (cold sores). Developed using ultra-thin Hydrocolloid-075 adhesive gel technology, the patch functions as a medical device rather than a pharmacological agent. It works by creating a moist, protected environment that acts as a "second skin," sealing the lesion to protect exposed nerve endings, prevent the sore from drying out, and reduce scab formation. This physical barrier helps to alleviate pain and promote faster healing without the use of antiviral compounds. Originally developed by Johnson & Johnson, the Compeed brand was acquired by HRA Pharma in 2017.
